Fran Drescher was a vision in silver as she stepped out at the New York City Ballet Fall Gala on Thursday night at the Lincoln Center, alongside her ex-husband, Peter Marc Jacobson.
The Nanny star looked ageless in a glittering long-sleeve gown with a figure-hugging silhouette and a keyhole cutout on the chest. She paired the look with statement dangling earrings, a matching silver clutch and glittering pointed-toe heels, and wore her brunette locks tied back in a chic updo.
Ageless beauty
Fran had barely aged a day since starring in the hit '90s series The Nanny, which she co-created with her former husband Peter. She shared insight into how she maintained a healthy lifestyle into her 60s with Verywell Health, telling the outlet that reducing stress was the most effective method.
"It ain't over until you are. There are always things you can work on and improve – especially regarding your health," she explained.
"Part of aging well is learning how to manage your stress. You can't stew in it. It's important to recognize that stress affects many things relating to your health."
"I've found that my immune system responds poorly to stress," she continued. "I have to be mindful and say, 'I can't get this stressed, or I'll get sick.' When I'm noticing stress, I will force myself to lie down and decompress. Or, I'll take a walk in the fresh air and appreciate the trees."
Second chance
Meanwhile, Fran's ex-husband Peter looked dapper in a black suit with a bow tie, and proudly stood by her side at the glamorous event. The pair were married for 21 years before they split in 1999, and Peter came out to Fran as gay two years later, cementing their strong friendship.
They were just 15 when they first met in a theater class in high school, and tied the knot at 21 years old before collaborating on the show. Fran told CNN that while they "weren't meant to be married", they were always "meant to be something else with each other".
"And we put as much work into having a successful divorce as we did in trying to have a successful marriage. And it takes that kind of dedication," she added. "But as a result of that, we're now the best of friends. We've reinvented the relationship. It sits on another shelf in our life."
Fran married scientist Shiva Ayyadurai in 2014, yet the pair split two years later. The Emmy nominee told People in 2026 that she was enjoying the single life and felt fulfilled in her relationship with Peter.
"Selfishly, I don't want to compromise. That's a lot of what it is when you're with somebody …but the more you live on your own, the less you want to do that, and the less you need it if you happen to have a gay ex-husband," she explained.
"I take him to everything, and I don't really care…I've been with him since I was 15. Who can compete with that? And over the years, he grew tremendously. He's not the same person. Neither one of us are who we were when we were married." She added that they were "soulmates" and had figured out how to be "happily divorced" together.
