Adrienne Barbeau is best known for her star role on '70s sitcom Maude as Maude Findlay's daughter Carol Traynor. At 81, the actress has starred alongside some of Hollywood's most dashing men. But, there are only five people she'd work with again.

"I started in television and film in, let's say, 1972. In all those years, I can think of maybe five people that I've worked with that I wouldn't want to work with again," Adrienne told People in October 2026, adding: "There are four or five that I don't think I want to be on the same stage with."

Keep reading to find out who Adrienne would share screentime with.

Kurt Russell

In 1981, Adrienne starred alongside Kurt Russell in the 1981 dystopian sci-fi action film, Escape from New York. The film grossed more than $50 million at the box office and was followed up by a sequel, Escape from L.A.

The '80s film was the only time Adrienne and Kurt, 75, worked together, but the two both have had incredible careers. Kurt, who has been with Goldie Hawn for over 40 years, currently stars in The Madison alongside Michelle Pfeiffer.

Adrienne would gladly work with another one of her Escape from New York co-stars. While speaking with People, the actress said: "I mean, I've been very fortunate. I've worked with just some wonderful people," including Donald Pleasence, who played the president in the sci-fi film.

Unfortunately, Donald passed away in 1995 at 75 after complications from a heart valve replacement surgery.

Adrienne is a frequent collaborator of actor Tom Atkins. The two both appeared in The Fog, Escape from New York, and Creepshow, and forged a strong friendship through their years of working together.

Tom is now 90, but Adrienne still counts on the Hawaii Five-O actor. In April 2026, the actress posted a sweet photo of her and Tom to Instagram, writing: "This pic makes me so happy. Tom and Adie, after 4 movies and a lifetime of friendship, finally in the same scene together."

"Who also comes to mind is Tim DeKay. I loved working with Tim," the actress told People. The two actors starred in HBO's Carnivàle, a drama set during the Dust Bowl during the Great Depression, in 2003.

Tim, 63, is best known for starring as FBI Agent Peter Burke in White Collar alongside Matt Bomer. And he recently appeared in the Academy Award winning film Oppenheimer.

Bea Arthur

Adrienne has to thank Bea Arthur for being her friend! The actress starred as Bea's daughter on the hit sitcom, Maude, from 1972 to 1978. "We were all very, very close and really loved each other, all of us, and enjoyed each other and Bea set the tone for all of it. She was incredibly professional, but incredibly giving as an actor," Adrienne recalled to People about the iconic actress.

Of course, Bea is best known for her work on The Golden Girls, where she starred as Dorothy Zbornak. The actress passed away in 2009 at 86, and Adrienne remembered her to the publication saying: "Unbeknownst to most people, she was not Maude. She was a real homebody. She was a woman who loved her kids and her dogs and her cooking, probably in that order."
