Winter wonderland fun for Penny Lancaster and Rod Stewart's youngsters

Getting into the Christmas spirit, Rod Stewart and his wife Penny Lancaster Stewart gave their sons a festive treat, a visit to the opening of Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland. Penny wrapped up against the cold in a stylish black coat, accessorised with a bright red scarf, whilst Rod chose a grey overcoat for the chilly occasion.Youngsters Alastair, six, and 18-month-old Aiden looked adorable in their winter woolies at the wonderland that features an ice rink, plenty of mulled wine and the oppurtunity to meet Santa Claus. Penny and Aiden took a turn on the fairground slide, the statuesque blonde waving as she went.

Speaking exclusively to HELLO! Magazine Rod spoke of his family's domestic bliss. The Maggie May singer said Christmas for the Stewart's would be "Just like everyone else's." Adding that "the real reason I love Christmas is because there's a lot of football on the TV - that and playing the Christmas album to my two youngest. "The 67-year-old revealed that his boys have yet to hear their Dad's latest record, Merry Christmas Baby, so he's planning "to decorate the Christmas tree and play them Dad's Christmas album" when they begin celebrating at their Essex home in Epping. The father-of-eight also has released his book, entitled Rod: The Autobiography, this winter. Highgate-born Rod spoke about how much he enjoyed the writing process, saying that readers will be able to see "what a great family unit I had and what tremendouc support and love I had as a child. Vanessa's visit comes during a break from the girlband's visit to American where they are filming a reality series about their bid to crack the US market. Twenty-three-year-old Vanessa's appaearance als coicides with the happy news that her bandmate Rochelle is expecting her first baby with husband Marvin Humes of boyband JLS. Dionne Bromfield, goddaughter of the late Amy Winehouse, also made an appearance as well as up and coming musicians James Arthur and Union J of this year's X Factor series. The contestants have been out and about across the capital, recenetly stepping out at the Skyfall premiere.
