India's most famous actress, Aishwarya Rai, has been voted the most
attractive woman of 2003 by hellomagazine.com readers. The green-eyed beauty took some 33 per cent of the vote, despite a strong challenge from British newcomer Keira Knightley, who was in second with 31 per cent.
The svelte beauty, who first shot to fame after appearing in a Pepsi commercial in her home country, is now standing on the cusp of international fame. In 2003 she became the first Indian actress to sit on the jury of the Cannes Film Festival and "Aishu" is tipped to star in the next Bond movie.
The critically-acclaimed performer will also make her Hollywood debut this year, starring opposite Meryl Streep in the thriller Chaos.
