Fashion fair is child's play for Princess Mary

Denmark's enormously popular Crown Princess Mary has earned a reputation for her impeccable sense of style, but these days she has to keep two people in mind when she goes shopping for clothes. With her four-month-old son Christian rapidly outgrowing every item of apparel that is bought for him, it was no surprise to see the proud mum checking out children's wear in Copenhagen this week.

The 34-year-old, who was guest of honour at the city's annual fashion fair, was keen to see what new goodies she might pick up for little Christian. Looking elegant as ever in a fitted brown jacket and floral-print skirt, she chatted animatedly with workers at the event who were showing off all the latest designs for young and old alike.

It seems certain her bundle of joy is in constant need of new clothes, as he is getting bigger by the day. "He has already doubled his birth weight," revealed the royal after his christening last month. "It is easy to see he is growing and thriving."

The tot will be in need of some warm winter coats when he makes his first international trip next week. Frederik and Mary are planning to take their favourite boy along when make an official visit to Germany, which is currently in the grips of sub-zero temperatures. The family will then move on to Italy where they're due to indulge in some snowy fun as they check out the Winter Olympics in the mountains outside Turin.
