Diana Ross will sing at son Evan Ross' wedding to Ashlee Simpson

Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross will have a world-class wedding singer performing at their nuptials – the groom's mother Diana Ross has agreed to provide the entertainment.

The 70-year-old Supremes star will take to the stage at the reception, as will her eldest child daughter Rhonda Suzanne Silberstein, E! News reports.

Diana isn't the only musical icon who will be attending Ashlee and Evan's big day; Stevie Wonder and Smokey Robinson are among the invited wedding guests.

Ashlee and Evan got engaged in January after a whirlwind six-month romance. It will be the singer's second time walking down the aisle; from 2008 until 2011 she was married to Pete Wentz, with who she has a five-year-old son Bronx.

The happy couple, who celebrated their engagement with a party in March, are yet to confirm their wedding date – but Evan can't wait to marry his ladylove.

"Honestly we could go and get married right now, wherever," the 25-year-old told E! at SXSW. "We just want to be married. We're in love."

He said he knew "really quickly" that Ashlee, 29, was the one.

"I would have asked her a month after I was with her," admitted the actor, who appears as Messalla in the upcoming Hunger Games: Mockingjay film.

Before her own nuptials though, Ashlee has another important wedding to attend. In two weeks, she will walk down the aisle as a bridesmaid at her sister Jessica Simpson's wedding to Eric Johnson.
