Kim Sears made a chic appearance courtside to cheer on her tennis champion fiancé Andy Murray, but it was her mammoth engagement ring that had heads turning. Kim, who has been in a relationship with Andy for ten years, was supporting her husband-to-be as he competed in the Australia Open in Melbourne. Stepping out in a pretty floral frock, the 27-year-old looked as stylish as ever as she basked in the warm weather, sitting just in front of Andy's mum Judy. As she held on to her denim jacket and moved it from one arm to the other, spectators around Kim were given a glimpse of her eye-catching new rock.

All attention was on Kim Sears' huge circular engagement ring

The stunning piece of jewellery looked to be made up of a huge diamond flanked by a ring of smaller stones, which caught the sunshine as Kim ran her hand through her hair. "Kim's ring features a four to five carat cushion cut diamond surrounded by a halo of round diamonds to give it extra size and sparkle," said David Allen of 77 Diamonds.

"Assuming Andy's penchant for sporting perfection was used for his diamond search then a high quality diamond can be expected giving the ring a value of £150,000-200,000. Celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Kaley Cuoco and Jennifer Garner all sport similar cut engagement rings."

Kim clapped and cheered and looked visibly thrilled as her fiancé, also 27, stormed to victory, winning straight sets on the opening day of the tournament and beating India's Yuki Bhambri.

Kim, who often accompanies Andy on his sporting travels around the world, was last pictured showing off her engagement ring in public in December – about a month after her Wimbledon ace beau popped the question. At the time artist Kim was running errands near the couple's home in Surrey, but Monday's outing in Australia appeared to be the first time she had worn the ring out to a big tennis tournament. While details of the proposal are not known, as the couple are eager to keep their relationship private, Andy's representative confirmed the happy news at the end of November. Rumours had been surrounding the lovebirds for months, after bets on them becoming engaged suddenly gathered pace.

Andy and Kim met in 2005 when the brunette beauty attended a tennis championship with her tennis coach father Nigel. As she was 17 at the time, Kim made sure to focus on her exams and school work, and the couple did not go public with their romance until the following year. Earlier in 2013 Andy revealed that he would love to have children with Kim, writing in his autobiography: "I can see myself having a family. It is something that I'm starting to think about because Kim and I have been together for eight years."
