Pippa Middleton and James Matthews' wedding: take a look inside their church

In one month's time, Pippa Middleton will walk up the aisle and say "I do" to her fiancé James Matthews. The couple will exchange vows at St Mark's Church in Englefield, Berkshire – a beautiful grade I-listed church set in the countryside. Relatively small, at least compared to the grand Westminster Abbey where Prince William and Kate married, it fits with the intimate feel that Pippa and James are striving for at their nuptials.

Photos of the church interior provide a feel of what Pippa's wedding will look like. The columnist will be walked up the aisle by her father Michael Middleton, as well as her maid of honour, bridesmaids and one very sweet bridesmaid in particular, Princess Charlotte. Pippa has also chosen Prince George, three, to be a pageboy.

St Mark's Church will be the perfect setting for Pippa's English country wedding. The historical church dates back to the 12th century. It was extensively restored by Sir George Gilbert Scott in 1857 and in 1868, the tower was added in thirteenth century style. Pippa and her fiancé James were last pictured at the church on Christmas Day, when they attended last year's service with the Middletons and the royals, Prince William, Kate, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The ceremony will be officiated by Rev. Nick Wynne-Jones, the resident priest at St. Mark's and a hugely respected figure in the community. He was seen warmly greeting the bride and groom-to-be at last year's Christmas service.

The church sits in the shadow of Englefield House

The church is situated in the grounds of Englefield House, a vast Elizabethan country house owned by MP Richard Benyon and his family. The house is open for large groups by appointment only while the gardens are open to the public all year around. The impressive country retreat has been used as the location for a number of TV series and films, including the Oscar-winning The King's Speech. Most recently, Englefield was used to shoot hit Netflix drama The Crown.
