Jemima Khan's cricket legend husband Imran has spoken out about reports that his union with the 30-year-old heiress is on the rocks.

British newspapers said this week that Jemima – currently living in the UK while her spouse remains in Pakistan – planned to remain in England without Imran, and had been on nights out with actor Hugh Grant.

But Imran, who says his wife and children will return to his Pakistan homeland for the Easter holidays, says he's fed up with the untrue talk. "I have put up with this for nine years," he says. "It is absolute nonsense."

Quashing rumours of a split, the athlete-turned-politician revealed that the geographic separation is only temporary. "Jemima is studying abroad (in Britain)," he explained. "She will be moving back to Pakistan after that. We are building a farmhouse near Islamabad, and that will be completed hopefully this summer."

Jemima, who is working on a masters degree at the School of Oriental and African Studies, fought similar talk in December. The socialite took out advertisements in Pakistani newspapers which read in part: "Imran and I have become accustomed to these spiteful rumours. However that does not make them less hurtful."
