Inside Halle Berry’s intimate 60th birthday escape with fiancé Van Hunt

The pair stayed at Zadún, a secluded and intimate oceanfront retreat in San José del Cabo, and Halle shared several pictures from the trip on Instagram but HELLO! can now share further details inside their stunning beachside getaway, where they took part in private wine-making classes, and enjoyed open-flame cooking which uses local ancestral techniques.

During her birthday escape, Halle and Van enjoyed a luxurious suite, and – surely the highlight of any romantic trip – a private pool and beachside access overlooking the sparkling Sea of Cortés, where Halle was photographed by her partner in a series of skimpy bikinis and lacy lingerie that highlighted her physique.

In one snap, Halle wore a $118 Soma bodysuit, made of soft, feminine lace and in a curve-hugging silhouette. 

Another saw her pose nude with only a silk robe slipped over her shoulders as she posed for Van, who was behind the camera.

Halle's approach to exercise has evolved since she hit menopause, with the Hollywood star shifting her focus towards building and preserving muscle over cardio and martial arts.

Her attitude towards aging also led her to decide that she was going to become "louder" rather than allowing herself to be erased, a declaration she has been happily living out on the picturesque vacation.

For relaxation during the birthday trip, Halle and Van also indulged in a couples massage, as well as enjoying a private yacht to view Cabo's dramatic coastline.

Her pictures also included selfies of the pair enjoying dinner and in the pool, Halle kissing Van while they sat on a sofa, and a casual moment of Halle in the shade.

Halle and Van met in 2020, with reports suggesting that they had spent the first months of COVID together, and the actress hinting at a romance that August as she posted a photo on Instagram of her feet intertwined with someone else's in bed.

The happy couple confirmed they were officially dating in September 2020, four weeks after Halle's cryptic update. The actress took to her Instagram again to share a picture of her wearing a T-shirt with her beloved's name on.

A successful musician and recording artist with five albums to his name and a Grammy award, Van made his red-carpet debut with Halle at the 2021 Oscars.

Halle confirmed their engagement on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in February 2026, showing off her ring. But she later shared that neither felt that a wedding was required to validate their bond.

Both Halle and Van have been married before; the Monster's Ball actress was married to  David Justice from 1993 to 1997, Eric Benét from 2001 to 2005, and to Olivier Martinez from 2013 to 2016. Halle welcomed son Maceo-Robert with Olivier, and she is also mom to daughter Nahla with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry.
