Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are expecting a little girl. As promised, the sex of the couple's baby was revealed on the premiere episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians on Sunday evening as Kim was filmed during a sonogram.
Joined by her mother Kris Jenner and her sisters Kourtney and Khloe, the excited mum-to-be was told by family doctor Paul Crane that she was having a daughter.
"I don't see any pee-pees," he said as he tried to determine the sex. "I'm thinking it's a girl."
"Oh my gosh, what's the percentage," asks Kim, breaking into a smile. "Ninety-nine plus," he replies.
"So I can tell people it's a girl," she says, adding to the cameras, "I'm so excited we're having a girl. Like, who doesn't want a girl. They are the best. I know that's what Kanye always wanted. He wanted a little girl."
Her rapper boyfriend did not attend the scan, but Kim, 32, was clearly looking forward to sharing the big news with him.
Kim's relationship with Kanye was on her mind earlier in the show, when the emotional star broke down as she talked to her mum about her split from Kris Humphries.
The couple tied the knot in August 2011, but Kim filed for divorce 72 days later, in October of that same year. They eventually reached a settlement agreement in April, but their divorce is not due to be finalised until July.
"I'm probably going to have this baby married to someone else," she said. "That's not the way I wanted it."
