.Pop princess Katy and singer-songwriter John appear in the video together riding a bull in the desert.The loved-up pair are joined on set by real life couples who also take turns on the bucking bronco.

"Relationships are kind of like riding a bull – you hold on for dear life," said

singer Katy. "Sometimes you get a little a little buck here and there, but you get back on."Grammy winner John, 36, spoke about how the romantic video came about."We set the casting call up for real couples. It's just so authentic – they were having a great time," he said.

"There's nothing scripted in that video except putting the bull in the middle of the desert."Recently 29-year-old Katy gave a rare insight to their relationship."[John]'s just a fantastic partner," she told

. "I've been a fan of his for such a long time. He's got a brilliant, brilliant mind. It's a rad, mature relationship."

Their public display of affection in the video comes while rumours continue to swirl that the couple are engaged.Katy, 29, wore a diamond ring on the all-important finger to the MTV EMAs in November.The

When asked about the sparkler she said, "Oh, this little old thing. I' m just having fun and dressing up in my Zac Posen dress and vintage headpiece from Tokyo."The couple have had an on-off romance since they began dating in the summer of 2012.They are thought to have split up in March of this year but were back together by the summer.If the couple are getting engaged it will be the first marriage for John. Katy was married to comedian Russell Brand for 14 months before they separated in December 2011.
