Hilary Duff brought the sunshine to her birthday celebrations as she stepped out in a striking yellow swimsuit during a getaway to Puerto Vallarta.
The actress and singer, who turned 39 on September 28, was photographed enjoying the beach with friends, swapping her stage wardrobe for a relaxed holiday look.
With tropical greenery, cream loungers and oversized parasols behind her, Hilary looked at ease as she walked barefoot across the sand alongside her companions.

The Lizzie McGuire star chose a bright yellow one-piece with a scooped neckline, delicate straps and a high-cut leg. The bold colour did most of the talking, while a dark teal baseball cap and oversized brown-tinted sunglasses gave the outfit a sporty finish.
Hilary wore her blonde hair pulled back beneath her cap, with loose strands falling around her face. She added hoop earrings, a pendant necklace and a pale wristwatch, keeping her accessories on as she headed onto the beach.
One photograph captured the actress walking beside friends dressed in an assortment of swimsuits, bikinis and sun hats. Another showed her gesturing with one hand, her vivid swimsuit standing out against the sand.

Hilary Duff's busy year in music
The Mexican break follows a significant year for Hilary, whose sixth studio album, Luck... or Something, arrived in February.
The record marked her return to albums after more than a decade, with her husband, musician and producer Matthew Koma, involved in its creation. Her Lucky Me tour followed, bringing another major commitment alongside her acting career and family life.

Hilary Duff's family with Matthew Koma
Away from work, Hilary is a mother of four, she shares son Luca, 14, with her former husband, Mike Comrie, and daughters Banks, seven, Mae, five, and Townes, two, with Matthew.
Hilary and Matthew married in December 2019, following the arrival of Banks the previous year. Their family grew again with Mae in March 2021 and Townes in May 2024.
The singer has also made room for family life while touring, bringing her children along during her US shows this summer.

Hilary has long been outspoken about the scrutiny placed on women's bodies, including photographs taken while they are simply enjoying a holiday.
In August 2017, she shared a beach photograph with Luca on Instagram and challenged coverage that focused on perceived physical imperfections.
Instead, she drew attention to what her body had made possible, writing: "My body has given me the greatest gift of my life: Luca, 5 years ago."
