The Rolling Stones arrive in the UK minus Mick Jagger

The Rolling Stones arrived back in the UK on Friday after postponing their Australian tour following the death of Mick Jagger's girlfriend L'Wren Scott.Band members Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts touched down at Manston Airport in Kent minus the lead vocalist of the band.

Mick has headed to America to be with his children and make funeral arrangements for his girlfriend of 13 years, L'Wren Scott.

The band have cancelled their Australia and New Zealand Tour after L'Wren was found dead in her New York flat on Monday in an apparent suicide.

Since news broke, the Rolling Stones have been rallying around the frontman.

"No-one saw this coming," guitarist Keith Richards said in a statement to Billboard magazine. "Mick's always been my soul brother and we love him. We're thick as thieves and we're all feeling for the man. "We really hate to disappoint our fans, but we'll see everyone really soon." The iconic British band postponed several shows in Australia and New Zealand following L'Wren's death.

"This is such terrible news and right now the important thing is that we are all pulling together to offer Mick our support and help him through this sad time," Keith said. "Without a doubt we intend to be back on that stage as soon as we can." Drummer Charlie Watts added, "Needless to say we are all completely shocked, but our first thought is to support Mick at this awful time. We intend to come back to Australia and New Zealand as soon as it proves possible." The shocking news of the fashion designer's death broke on Monday morning, hours after she took her own life. Her partner of 13 years was in Australia at the time.
