Jodie Kidd pictured without wedding ring following split from David Blakeley

Jodie Kidd has been pictured without her wedding ring. On the day her separation from her husband David Blakeley was announced, Jodie made an appearance at Channel 5's Exploring Classic Cars launch in London – her glittering ring notably absent from her left hand.

The 36-year-old, who married David in August, put on a brave face as she joined her co-host Quentin Willson to promote their new automobile programme.

Jodie stepped out on the day her separation from David was announced

Dressed in an all-black ensemble, consisting of a leather skirt, tights and long-sleeved top, Jodie added a pop of colour to her outfit with scarlet Valentino Rockstud heels. The statuesque model posed with a host of vintage cars, including a vibrant red Mini Cooper.

Jodie confirmed her split from David on Friday, saying that they went their separate ways just before Christmas.

"It's with sadness that David and I have separated," the Guildford-born beauty told The Sun. "My priority remains my son Indio."

The model's wedding ring was notably absent

Jodie and David met in November 2013 and got engaged in secret two months later after a whirlwind romance. The couple were later surrounded by close family and friends as they said "I do" at Holy Trinity Church in Plaistow.

A friends of Jodie's told The Sun that she believes she and David got married too quickly.

"She now admits they rushed into the marriage," they told the newspaper. "And they didn't really know each other well enough to make such a big commitment.

"It wasn't working so they mutually made the difficult decision to end things rather than stay in a relationship that didn't have a future."

Jodie and Quentin will present a new classic car show on Channel 5

Jodie is now looking forward to taking part in Channel 4's snow sports reality show The Jump.

The mum-of-one signed up late to the show to replace Sally Bercow, who was forced to pull out of the competition due to injury.
