Liv Tyler and Dave Gardner have been spotted with their two-week-old son Sailor. The proud new parents were photographed in New York on Monday, following the safe arrival of their first child together. The tiny baby boy was carried in a car seat by his daddy as the couple headed out in the Big Apple.

Liv might have some more good news to share. The 37-year-old actress was wearing a beautiful diamond ring on her engagement finger, sparking reports that her partner has popped the question.

Liv and Dave welcomed their baby boy six weeks early on 11 February. A few days later, proud dad Dave announced his arrival. "Our little one has arrived… Beautiful baby boy… Happy Valentine's Day!" he wrote alongside a photo of the newborn's tiny hand holding onto his finger.

It was Liv who revealed their son's nautical name. "Sailor Gene Gardener @davidgardner76," she captioned a sweet snapshot, posted on 20 February, which shows Sailor clutching a blue pendant with an anchor on it in his tiny hand.

Leftovers star Liv – daughter of Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler – is also a mum to 10-year-old son Milo from her previous marriage to Leeds-born musician Royston Langston. British sports agent Dave, meanwhile, has a seven-year-old son Gray with his former wife Davinia Taylor, to who he was married for seven years.

Liv and Dave – who is David Beckham's best friend - started dating at the start of 2014 after being introduced by mutual pal Kate Moss. They went public with their romance in August that same year, with a source telling the Sun at the time, "This is the real deal. Dave and Liv are madly in love. They mix in the same circles because Dave hangs out a lot with a group that includes Kate and Stella McCartney."
