Cupid's arrow struck when Jake Quickenden met Danielle, daughter of his campmate Carl Fogarty, at the I'm a Celebrity... afterparty
Talking for the first time about their blossoming relationship, Jake and Danielle reveal in an exclusive interview in HELLO! magazine that they have moved in together and are looking forward to building a future.
"It's crazy how it happened," laughs former X Factor contestant Jake, 26. "I didn't go to Australia looking for a girlfriend.
"We only spent a little bit of time together at the after party, but of course she's a beautiful girl and I'm only human so I was attracted to her!
"We had a bit of a dance and we got back in touch when we came back to the UK.
"And now here we are, boyfriend and girlfriend! It's amazing. We're really, really happy.”
Adds Danielle, 23: "Jake is really easy going. He cares a lot about me, about my family. And obviously he's quite good looking!"
Danielle tells HELLO! she was attracted to Jake as she watched him on the ITV1 reality show, but her mind was focussed on supporting her dad.
When they finally met in the flesh, after Carl won the King of the Jungle crown with Jake as his runner-up, they admit sparks flew: despite the fact Jake smelled of "bonfire and sweat and revolting Bushtucker Trial food".
They swapped details and when they arrived back in the UK, only a couple of weeks passed before they were in touch and arranging to meet up.
Jake has now moved from his mum's house in Scunthorpe to Danielle's flat in Wilmslow, Cheshire.
World superbike champ Carl, 49, says he supports their romance, telling HELLO! "I spent a lot of time getting to know Jake in the jungle. He wants to make something of himself and get somewhere with his music.
"He's not afraid of hard work and he's very motivated. I admire that about him."
Carl says Jake is a regular fixture at his house in Blackburn and often helps himself to a beer adding: "He nicks my special Lancashire crisps, too, which are only meant for me! And he borrows my tracksuit bottoms and never gives them back."
