Irina Shayk reportedly felt "betrayed" by Cristiano Ronaldo
Irina reportedly checked Cristiano's phone statements only to discover that he had been calling a number of different women from around the world.
"She immediately confronted Cristiano about it, but he initially denied any knowledge. After she explained to him what she had found he eventually admitted to messaging the girls," the source said. "She couldn't believe it so immediately got out of the house. She ended the relationship there and then."
As previously revealed by HELLO! Online, it was Irina who broke up with Cristiano on New Year's Eve, after confronting him.
Irina Shayk is now dating actor Bradley Cooper
"She was in shock and completely devastated," a close friend told HELLO! Online. "It wasn't a decision she took lightly."
The friend added: "Irina always chose to stand by her man. There was no way around it as the truth was staring at her in the face. After much thought and consideration, she felt she couldn't ignore the signs."
The 29-year-old previously hinted at Cristiano's infidelity with E! News in February, as she revealed she wants her next boyfriend to be "loyal".
"What I'm looking for in a man is – I think I love honest men and I love a man who is loyal to women. I think this is [the] most important thing in [a] man," Irina said.
The model has since moved on and has been pictured enjoying a number of dates with Bradley Cooper - the first picture of the pair together was revealed exclusively in HELLO! magazine's sister publication HOLA!. The pair have apparently known each other for a long time after being introduced by mutual friends, and have been "hanging out" for a while.
