Cristiano Ronaldo had reason to celebrate on Wednesday as his boy Cristiano Jr turned five. The Real Madrid player shared a picture of himself and his mini-me happily sitting together on a hammock in honour of the special day.
"Celebrating my son's 5th birthday," Cristiano captioned the photo.
The family photo received over one million likes from fans, who passed on their birthday wishes to Cristiano's adorable son.
The 30-year-old often gives a glimpse at family life with his little boy on social media, and recently revealed that Cristiano Jr is his biggest supporter ahead of important football matches.
"It is fantastic to hear our son wishing 'Good luck Dad!'" Cristiano wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of the youngster sitting on his lap in a car.
Cristiano also occasionally brings his son along to sporting events, and was joined onstage by Cristiano Jr. as he collected the Ballon d'Or prize in January.
The legendary footballer became a dad in June 2010 after his son was born in the United States. Cristiano, who has full custody of the boy, has never revealed the identity of his child's mother.
It recently emerged that the model ended their five-year relationship after finding messages on his phone from "dozens of women", and receiving phone calls from women claiming that Cristiano had been flirting with them.
"She immediately confronted Cristiano about it, but he initially denied any knowledge," a source told The Sun. "After she explained to him what she had found he eventually admitted to messaging the girls.
"She couldn't believe it so immediately got out of the house. She ended the relationship there and then."
As previously revealed by HELLO! Online, it was Irina who broke up with Cristiano on New Year's Eve, after confronting him.
"She was in shock and completely devastated," a close friend told HELLO! Online. "It wasn't a decision she took lightly."
The friend added: "Irina always chose to stand by her man. There was no way around it as the truth was staring at her in the face. After much thought and consideration, she felt she couldn't ignore the signs."
