Mark Wright achieved one of his childhood dreams by taking to the track at Silverstone on Sunday. The radio presenter was joined by his wife Michelle Keegan and members of his family for the day out, which he documented for his fans on social media.

The couple both dressed up in matching race suits and helmets for their day at the iconic race course, and posed by one of the race cars for an Instagram photo shared by Mark.

"What a day with this one and the family today!! Racing @silverstonecircuit @michkeegan," Mark captioned the photo.

The 28-year-old also shared a series of photos from the outing on Twitter, including one of Michelle striking a pose next to one of the cars, and another showing him looking excited as he sat at the wheel of a blue Ferrari.

Mark said the day out was his "boyhood dream"

"What a Sunday, my boyhood dream, racing cars around the track at @SilverstoneUK never believed I'd do this. #dream," Mark tweeted.

The newlyweds, who tied the knot in a romantic ceremony covered exclusively by HELLO! in May, have been making the most of their time together during their time off from work. While Michelle recently travelled abroad to work on a new top secret project, Mark was on the road again on Monday morning on a "long trip to the north" for work.

The former TOWIE star is also set to resume his presenting duties for Take Me Out: The Gossip on ITV2 early next year, while Michelle will travel to Africa to film BBC drama Our Girl, and has hinted at another exciting project in her weekly blog for HELLO! Online.

Maintaining a long-distance relationship is not a problem for the couple though, as Michelle recently revealed that Mark is hoping to visit the Our Girl set while she is filming.

"If Mark can come out then he will pay me a visit," Michelle told The Sun on Sunday. "It'll be tough but worth it."
