Cate Blanchett turns 49

Happy Birthday to award-winning actress Cate Blanchett! The mother-of-four has been busy in the lead-up to her birthday, attending the star-studded Cannes Film Festival in her role as Jury President. On Saturday, the Australian actress led the Cannes Women's March, linking arms with 82 other female stars to highlight the #MeToo movement. "Women are not a minority in the world, yet the current state of the industry says otherwise," Cate said of the issue, adding, "We stand together on these steps today as a symbol of our determination to change and progress." The star will continue to champion the empowerment of women by starring in the upcoming all-female Ocean's Eight movie alongside other Hollywood leading ladies including Sandra Bullock, Rihanna, Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter.

Olly Murs turns 34

Happy Birthday to singer Olly Murs! It has been a successful year for the former X Factor star, who co-owns and plays for non-league football team Coggeshall Town FC. "I love being a part of this. Aside from my music, when I am here with the boys I am just one of the lads," says Olly of the venture. "These are moments I will cherish for the rest of my life." Earlier this month, Olly kicked off his birthday celebrations by enjoying a night out with pals including Mark Wright at The Highlight Room in L.A.
