Fans were shocked earlier this week after former The Only Way Is Essex star Jake Hall passed away unexpectedly in Mallorca, Spain.
The star, who was 35 at the time, was a father-of-one, sharing a daughter with his ex-partner, Misse Beqiri, and on Saturday, she penned a heartfelt tribute to her former boyfriend. In a message, she wrote: "I never thought I would ever have to write this, and the pain of even putting these words down feels unbearable.
"There was no way you were ever supposed to go. My heart is shattered, and so is our daughter's. You lit up every room you walked into - your smile, your charm, your energy that filled the air. The way you loved music, how deeply you felt every sound, your creativity, your mind, your spirit. You were so deeply loved by so many people, and seeing the love everyone has for you is both heartbreaking and beautiful all at once. Your constant mission to stop me from taking naps still makes me smile."
She continued: "I loved you from the very first moment I saw you, and there was never a chance you were going to let me go. Together we created the most beautiful girl, the one you loved more than anything in this world, beyond words. Your love for her was so strong it almost scared me, because I knew you would go to the ends of the earth for her. She adored you – her favourite person, her daddy. You will be missed. I promise to keep River safe, loved, and wrapped in the kind of love you gave so effortlessly. You are at peace now."
Misse concluded: "As my brother used to say, 'you gypos', I know you're laughing together now. You left behind your mini version, our River, and for that we are forever grateful. You will always live on through her, and you will forever be with us."
The tribute also contained an image of Jake with their daughter when she was just a baby, alongside a hand-drawn artwork of the reality television star walking hand-in-hand with the young girl, and several family snaps.
Jake's brother, Sonny, also shared his own tribute to the star, posting the story of 'The Dragonfly', which is often told to young children to help them to understand death.
Jake's death
Jake was found earlier this week with fatal injuries while at a Spanish holiday villa after a night out partying. The star found fame on ITV's The Only Way is Essex alongside his ex-girlfriend, Chloe Lewis, after joining the reality show together in 2015.
Among the tributes at the time of his death was one from TOWIE, which read: "Jake was a part of the TOWIE family for a number of years and we send our very deepest sympathies to his family and friends following today's very sad news."
On Jake's final social media post, Ferne McCann posted: "Ahhhhh Jake. What a creative cool cat you are. I'm deeply sad, and I'll miss seeing your paintings, dancing and just utter coolness on insta. Praying for your beautiful family and for River."
Denise van Outen added: "Heartbreaking news, having worked on @towie for 16 years this is devastating news for so many who knew Jake. A lovely man with an Incredible energy. Deepest condolences to Jake's family & friends. Thinking of you all at this very sad time."
