In 2025, Goodfellas star Robert De Niro publicly supported his daughter Airyn who came out as trans in a April interview with Them.
He stated to Variety: “I loved and supported Aaron as my son, and now I love and support Airyn as my daughter. I don’t know what the big deal is. I love all my children.” It really is that simple.

Chaz Bono
After Chaz Bono came out as trans in 2009, the 'Believe' singer admitted she struggled to adjust. Fortunately, seeing her son so happy in embracing his identity has prompted the singer's full support.
She told CNN, “You don’t really lose them. They just are in a different shape." The singer also added that her son is “so unbelievably happy.” We love a happy ending!

Sigourney Weaver's only child Shar Simpson is nonbinary and the Avatar star has been open about their child's identity, as well as their professional accomplishments.
Sigourney told the Sunday Times: "They are nonbinary. They teach at Columbia, digital storytelling, bots, misinformation, they are someone who is excited about AI and not frightened about it." It's clear Sigourney is a doting mother which she confirmed, saying that her role as mum is "absolutely the most important thing" in her life.

Zaya Wade
In 2020, Zaya Wade came out as trans. Now, at just 19 years old she's already working successfully as a model and influencer.
Dwyane got right to the heart of what it means to be a supportive parents while accepting the President's Award at the NAACP Image Awards, saying: "As your father, my job isn’t to create a version of myself or direct your future. My role is to be a facilitator to your hopes, your wishes, your dreams.”

The child of Sting and Trudie Styler, Eliot Sumner has long been open about not identifying with gender labels. They've flourished professionally on screen, appearing in No Time to Die, Infinite Storm and Pretty Red Dress.
They told The Evening Standard in 2015 that there wasn't an official 'coming out' to the family: "They knew already, so I didn’t need to. I’ve never come out to anyone. My friends always knew, and I always knew.”

Stephen Ira is the son of acting royalty Annette Bening and Warren Beatty, both of whom have publicly supported their son.
Stephen came out as trans in 2012. Four years later, Warren described him as "revolutionary, a genius, and my hero". His mother Annette has revealed she feels "protective" of Stephen and the trans community in the modern political climate.

Cynthia Nixon is a proud supporter of her son Seph and chose to honour 2018's Trans Day of Action with a sweet photo of the pair at her son's graduation. While Cynthia keeps details around life with her oldest child sparse but she has credited him as one of the key reasons for her campaign for a ceasefire in Gaza.
“He really has been reaching out to my wife and I and asking us — imploring us, really — to say, ‘Use your voice to affirm as loudly as you can that ‘never again’ means ‘never again’ for anyone,’” she told The View in 2023.
