Rod Stewart's model son Alastair stole the show in photos from the family's trip to Boston to watch Scotland play in the World Cup.

The singer, 81, and his wife Penny Lancaster, 55, were joined by their son Alastair, 20, and Rod's son Liam, 31, from his relationship with model Rachel Hunter.

Alastair, who stands at 6'4", towered over Rod, who is 5'10", and his mum Penny, who is a very statuesque 6'1".

Penny shared photos of the family sitting in the stands of Boston Stadium where they watched Scotland defeat Haiti with a score of 1-0.

Rod also shared a video of himself, Alastair and Liam on a private plane making their way to Boston for the match.

Family trip

Speaking to the camera, he said: "Here we are flying off to see Scotland in the World Cup. It's been 28 years. These kids, I've told them about it, but they've never been. I've been to seven World Cups."

"Where've you been?" Alastair asked.

"I've been to Argentina, Germany, France, Italy, Mexico, loads of 'em," Rod replied.

"That’s six," Alastair said.

"This is the seventh," Rod said. "We want to get to the next round, and I'll die a happy man."

"Come on Scotland," Alastair said.

Career plans

Rod and Penny have been married since 2007 and they are also parents to fifteen-year-old son Aiden. Penny is stepmother to Rod's six older children: Sarah, Kimberly, Sean, Ruby, Renee and Liam.

Modelling very much runs in Alastair's genes, with Penny having risen to fame in the 90s and early 2000s as a model. It was her £200,000 contract with lingerie brand Ultimo, which she signed in 2002, that shot her into the spotlight in the UK.

Penny, who is also a regular panellist on Loose Women, previously said in 2024 that Alastair planned on continuing his education alongside his modelling career.

"Alastair is waiting for his A-Level results, but he's been given an offer from the Jimmy Choo London Fashion Academy in London, doing a three-year degree in Fashion Design, Entrepreneurship and Branding. So I'm very proud of him," she said.

However, in May 2025, Alastair revealed he had dropped out of fashion college in favour of pursuing a career in film.

"I was attending fashion college, but I've left now," he told the Daily Mail.

"I'm in a bit of a transitional period at the moment. I'm trying to get into the film industry, and I want to follow my passion. I've made a few short plays, I write a lot of scripts, and I write a lot of screenplays."
