He may be one of the most prolific supermodels of his generation, but British supermodel David Gandy has revealed that it isn't posing in a pair of Calvin Klein's that he finds difficult.

The proud father-of-two confessed that parenting, while being the "greatest thing you'll ever do", it is also the hardest.  David, who shares seven-year-old Matilda and four-year-old Tabitha with his partner, Stephanie Mendoros, made the confession when he joined HELLO! in the Emirates x HELLO! When asked about being a dad, he said, "I just love every part of it. It's tough, it's one of the hardest things, but one of the greatest things you'll do. I just love hanging around with my children more than anyone else in the world.

"Kids are very truthful, they are very innocent, and very inquisitive, so I love the inquisitiveness of them asking questions about everything and me trying to have answers about everything, which I don't think about sometimes.

"You see things through their eyes, things I've experienced before, but you get to see through their eyes and excitement as well."

Having a famous father

When asked if his daughters are aware of their father's global fame, David said: "They've been on a photoshoot with me, they were entertained for about five minutes, then they were off playing.

He continued: "They've seen me in magazines, on TV, billboards, but [to them] that's what I do. If you ask them what I do, they would say, 'I think daddy makes clothes,' but I'm just dad to them. I'm doing the school lunches, the pick up, I'm just dad to them. I'm the one trying to get them to do their homework and their spelling.

David keeps his family life with Stephanie and their daughters largely out of the spotlight.

The ultimate 'girl dad'

We couldn't be more sure that David is truly the ultimate 'girl dad' Upon Tabitha's arrival in 2023, he gushed on This Morning: "A second daughter, full house.

"We have to be very aware now of all these things, of building the future for those guys, not us. But a house full of women – even the dog. I get ignored by everyone now. I have no control over anything, I’ve learnt that.

"I thought we’d just got past watching Peppa Pig or Duggee for the 4000th time, or Baby Shark and then Halloween Baby Shark and Christmas Baby Shark."
