Tess Daly has spoken exclusively to HELLO! about a new launch close to her heart, six months after leaving her role hosting Strictly Come Dancing with Claudia Winkleman.
Tess, 57, founded luxury swim and resort wear brand NAIA Beach in 2021 with her friend and business partner Gayle Lawton, and now the label has opened its first pop-up shop in London's Notting Hill, running until 12 July.

"This pop-up has been really exciting - it’s been thrilling to see the reaction to our collection," says Tess. The pop-up features the brand's latest Spring/Summer '27 collection, exclusive in-store offers and complimentary fit consultations.
Tess is concentrating on the fashion label following her departure from Strictly, and two months after she announced her split from husband Vernon Kay. They revealed in May they had split up after 23 years together, describing the breakup as "amicable".
Here, Tess and Gayle cat to HELLO! about their passion project NAIA Beach…
Tess and Gayle, your Naia Beach ethos is for people "to feel comfortable, confident and special when wearing our collections". What are your life tips for feeling this way?
Tess: I've come to realise that confidence is about feeling comfortable in your own skin- it’s about discovering and celebrating your strengths, embracing your imperfections and always remembering to treat yourself with the same kindness you show others.
Gayle: Wear clothes that fit you beautifully rather than worrying about the size on the label, look after yourself, spend time with people who lift you up and remember that confidence is something you grow into. It's much more about how you feel than how you look.
Tell us about the new collection and Notting Hill pop-up shop
Tess: We know how important it is to find swimwear that makes you feel confident when wearing it, so being able actually try it on and experience for yourself our fabulously flattering fit is really special. We also have a dedicated team member on hand to offer specialist advice when it comes to finding your perfect fit.
Gayle: Alongside our new Spring/Summer '26 collection, we're also showcasing our activewear and our range of men's swim shorts in unique hand design prints, so it's a lovely opportunity for people to discover everything Naia Beach has become.

What were your inspirations for the new collection?
Tess: The S/S26 collection was inspired by the incredibly vibrant colours of the Mediterranean; we wanted to capture in our prints and designs the gorgeous light of golden hour as the sun settles over the shimmering water and that feeling of complete escapism that you get being by the sea.
Gayle: Our exclusive hand-designed prints and luxurious fabrics really bring that inspiration to life, while every silhouette has been carefully developed to flatter and give women confidence.

What is your favourite piece from the collection?
Tess: That's like choosing a favourite child! But if I had to pick one, it would probably be the Selene swimsuit. It's timeless, incredibly flattering and one of those pieces that makes you instantly feel more confident the moment you put it on. It looks just as great by the beach as it does paired with denim shorts when heading for lunch.
Gayle: I’m obsessed by our Riviera swimsuit; it’s our best seller and we have already had to restock multiple times this season. It’s so incredibly chic and effortless to wear- the feedback we’ve had from our 'Naia women' about this swimsuit has been phenomenal: to wear it is to love it!
Do you like to holiday together and where are your favourite locations?
Gayle: We do! Although they're usually working holidays because we can't help ourselves! Some of our best ideas have come while sitting by the sea and being inspired by the ambience.
We both adore the French Riviera but have just returned from shooting out SS27 collection in Greece and we were absolutely blown away by the incredible beauty of the landscape.
The islands are endlessly inspiring, from the crystal aquamarine colours of the water to the architecture and relaxed way of life. Every visit gives us fresh ideas for prints, colours and designs.
What are your summer beach bag essentials?
Tess: A great book, SPF, a big hat, sunglasses and a reusable water bottle are always with me. I also never go anywhere without a beautiful sarong or lightweight cover-up to throw on over a swimsuit because they're so versatile.
Gayle: And of course, a Naia Beach swimsuit that I know fits perfectly and makes me feel confident when I stepped into the sun. When you have that, everything else just falls into place.
Gayle: We're incredibly excited about the future. We've expanded beyond women's swimwear into activewear and men's swim shorts, and we're continuing to grow internationally.
Tess: Our biggest focus will always be creating beautiful collections with exceptional fit because that's what our customers tell us they love most. We want to design swimwear with built in confidence and for every person who wears Naia Beach to feel their absolute best.
Will you open a permanent NAIA Beach store?
Gayle: Absolutely, I think that is a natural progression and we’d absolutely love to have a permanent home for Naia Beach imminently. Right now, we're focused on growing the brand in the UK and internationally.
Tess: This pop-up has been really exciting - it’s been thrilling to see the reaction to our collection, and the most rewarding part of all has been meeting our lovely customers face to face!
