Congratulations to Phil Collins' son Nic, who has announced his engagement to childhood sweetheart Isabella Cristina Serralles.
The groom-to-be, 25, recently popped the question to his girlfriend of ten years, revealing the exciting news in a social media post on Saturday.
Alongside the announcement, the Swiss-born drummer shared a photograph of the couple celebrating their engagement. Isabella was pictured smiling as she held her newly ringed finger to Nic's cheek as he planted a loving kiss on her cheek.
In a tender declaration of affection, he wrote: "Words will never do justice to express how much I love you. Thank you for making me the happiest man in the world for almost 10 years. I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together and call you my wife."
Signing off the message, he added: "Here's to forever, my love".
Nic, whose mother is Phil's third wife, Orianne Cevey, is the fourth of his musician father's brood. His half-sister, Emily in Paris star Lily Collins, 37, was delighted by the news, leaving an impassioned congratulations.
She penned: "I’m crying AGAIN. I couldn’t love you guys more, and Isabella, you’ve always been my sister, and now it gets to be official. You both are so lucky. We love you beyond."
Commenting beneath the celebratory post, Isabella wrote: "I’ve loved you ever since I was 16 years old. What we have is magical, it’s always been you. My best friend in the world, let’s do this forever!! I can’t wait to marry you baby".
Nic also expressed his delight. He wrote: "Words will never do justice to express how much I love you. Thank you for making me the happiest man in the world for almost 10 years. I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together and call you my wife. Here’s to forever, my love."
Following in father Phil's footsteps
It comes a few short months after Nic celebrated his 25th birthday. Following in his father's footsteps, Nic is a passionate drummer and has been playing since he was just two years old. He played professionally alongside his dad when he was just 17 years old, during his solo tour.
Speaking of the performance at the time, Nic told the Australian show The Project: "It's not because he's the boss' son that he's playing the drums, it's because he's good enough."
"The band fell in love with him… suddenly it was like he knew what he was doing and wasn't in awe of the situation," the proud father continued about his son. "I'm very pleased for him, and for me, that we get to go through this together."
He now has his own band called The Effect, which he formed with Steve Maggiora, Emmett Stang, and Trev Lukather.
