© WireImageBut did you know that she has a seriously famous niece who is her spitting image? Shirley is related to 26-year-old actress Ella Beatty, the daughter of actors Annette Bening and Warren Beatty, who is fast becoming one of Hollywood's rising stars.
Ella is her aunt's double in new photos taken at the New York premiere of Ryan Murphy's Monster, The Lizzie Borden Story, in which Ella stars as the titular character.

Netflix viewers may recognise Ella for her latest role in the new instalment of Ryan Murphy's Monster anthology, The Lizzie Borden Story. The actress steps into the shoes of the titular character Lizzie Borden in the crime series, which tells the true story of the New England woman who was charged with the brutal axe murder of her father and stepmother in 1892.
She shares the screen with Charlie Hunnam (Monster: The Ed Gein Story, Sons of Anarchy), who plays Lizzie's father, Andrew Borden, and Rebecca Hall (Christine, Passing) as stepmother Abby Borden.

Ella made her TV debut in Ryan Murphy's anthology series Feud: Capote vs. The Swans, playing Kerry O'Shea. The show centres on author Truman Capote's betrayal of an elite group of New York high-society women.
The following year, in 2025, she appeared in the psychological drama, If I Had Legs I'd Kick You, alongside Rose Byrne.
Her further film credits include the thriller Act One and the upcoming adaptation of Sylvia Plath's The Bell Jar.

Ella seemingly inherited her acting talent from her movie star parents, Annette Bening and Warren Beatty.
The couple, who are also parents to Stephen, Benjamin, and Isabel, have been married for 34 years after meeting on the set of the 1991 film, Bugsy.
Sharing the piece of advice bestowed upon her by her mother and father, Ella told E! News: "Listening. As an actor in a scene – always being more curious about what the other person is doing.
"Get interested rather than be interesting, but also to listen and observe and watch more generally," she continued. "You never want to be the smartest person in the room. Just really listening is what I learned most from them."
It's clear Ella holds her parents in high regard. Speaking to Extra, she shared: "My parents are incredible artists. They're really generous human beings. My whole family has been really supportive and wonderful."

Fans couldn't help but notice the striking family resemblance between Ella and her legendary aunt. Underneath Extra's video interview, the comment section was quickly inundated with reactions highlighting their uncanny likeness.
One person wrote: "She's Shirley's doppelgänger," while another marvelled: "She looks so much like Shirley, what a beauty."
A third fan echoed the sentiment, adding: "She looks like Shirley MacLaine."
