Ursula's white bikini in 1962's Dr No was a defining moment in film history, marking the beginning of the Bond girl phenomenon. The actress, who portrayed Honey Ryder opposite Sean Connery, famously stepped out of the ocean in the now-legendary bikini with a utility belt attached and a knife in hand, redefining femininity onscreen.
"It was a big moment for me," Ursula told The Sunday Post. "I think that simple bikini made a complete difference to my career. It made me a success. I had made a few movies before then, but nothing had the impact of that scene in Dr No."
"After being the first Bond girl, I had offer after offer and could take my pick of the roles that were around," she added. "It's a mystery. All I did was wear this bikini in Dr No – not even a small one – and whoosh! Overnight, I made it. It gave me financial independence and changed my life completely."

The late great Honor Blackman is regarded as one of the greatest Bond characters of all time thanks to her turn as pilot and judo expert Pussy Galore in 1964's Goldfinger. The actress had both brains and beauty, and always looked glamorous, whether it was in a ballgown or a bikini by the beach.
Honor previously spoke about the label that came with being in a Bond film, and shared her dislike of the term 'Bond girl' with Interesting Media. "They can call other people Bond girls, but I don't like it," she explained. "For the simple reason that that character would have been a good character in any film, not just a Bond film…Pussy Galore was quite a character."

Jane is one of Hollywood's most celebrated actresses, thanks to her performances in Somewhere in Time, East of Eden, War and Remembrance and Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman.
Her career kickstarted with the starring role in 1973's Live and Let Die opposite Roger Moore, in which Jane portrayed the psychic Solitaire. "I was the only woman on the planet that was not trying to be a Bond girl, literally," she told Entertainment Weekly. "That was not the trajectory I was looking for. I was going to go and do Shakespeare and Ibsen and all the classics."
Jane has only grown more beautiful over the years, and the 75-year-old shared a stunning swimsuit photo on her social media, clad in a Baywatch-red one-piece with a front-tie. "A little sunshine, a lot of gratitude, and just the right amount of splash," she captioned the glowing photo.

The '90s icon, who was Dr Christmas Jones in 1999's The World Is Not Enough, proved that she could still take our breath away in a Fourth of July-themed bikini photo posted to social media. Denise kneeled on the beach in the swimsuit with red and white striped bottoms and a blue bikini top dotted with white stars. "Happy 4th," she captioned the stunning picture.
Despite cementing herself into Bond canon, Denise shared with Variety that the fans' reaction to her character was not what she expected. "It broke my heart that people were making fun of me," she said of Dr Jones' midriff-baring outfits. "'Oh, really? You're wearing shorts, and you're a nuclear scientist?'"
"I'm playing a Bond girl," she explained. "If I wore a lab coat and pants and a suit, then [the fans] would have been upset, like, 'Okay, why isn't she looking like a sexy Bond girl?'"
