Ben Affleck proposed to Jennifer Lopez in 2022 with a jaw-dropping 8.5-carat green diamond ring, which featured a cushion cut and a stone surrounded by white diamonds. 

The silver band was engraved with the phrase "not.going.anywhere", which the singer explained in an interview on The Zane Lowe Show.

"That's how he would sign his emails when we started talking again. Like 'Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere,'" she shared, referring to the fact that they had previously called off their engagement back in 2004. 

Jennifer kept the £3.7 million ring after the couple divorced in 2024.

Kanye West gifted Kim Kardashian a stunning 15-carat cushion-cut engagement ring on a thin band studded with diamonds in 2013. 

The piece is worth an estimated £6 million, and in the wake of the reality TV star's divorce from Kanye in 2021, Kim shared that she would be passing it down to their eldest daughter, North, when she was older.

"Because she was with me when I got engaged," Kim said in an episode of The Kardashians. "And she held [the ring] after, and I took a photo when she was just a few months old."

Grace Kelly's engagement ring, gifted to her by Prince Rainier III of Monaco, is by far the most expensive sparkler on this list. 

The Cartier piece held a 10.48-carat emerald-cut diamond and featured tapered baguette-cut diamonds on each side, set on a platinum band. 

Grace's ring was so jaw-dropping that she even wore it in her final Hollywood film, High Society, in 1956. At the time of their engagement in 1955, the ring was worth around $4.06 million; nowadays, the piece is worth a whopping £29 million.  

When footballer Cristiano Ronaldo finally proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez, in August 2025, after nine years and several children together, fans of the couple rejoiced.

He proposed with a gigantic diamond ring, with experts estimating it to be more than 30 carats. The sparkler, which also featured diamonds on either side of the centre rock, is worth an estimated £3.7 million.

"It's gorgeous. It’s the least he could offer me after 10 years of waiting," Georgina joked to Elle Spain. "The truth is, when he proposed, it was the last thing on my mind. It took me a long time to process the enormous stone he gave me."

When a billionaire proposes to their partner, you know it's going to be a doozy; and when Amazon founder Jeff Bezos popped the question to journalist Lauren Sánchez in May 2023, he did so with a massive cushion-cut 30-carat pink diamond. 

The ring featured a platinum mount and pavé diamonds, and is thought to be worth between £2.2 and £3.7 million.

Singer Enrique Iglesias and tennis star Anna Kournikova never officially confirmed their engagement, but when she began wearing a stunning 11-carat pink diamond ring in 2004, their fans were overjoyed. 

The ring, thought to be worth somewhere between £1.8 and £3.7 million, features trillion-cut white diamonds on either side of the main stone.

Serena Williams' sparkler from her tech billionaire hubby, Alexis Ohanian, is worth a reported £1.5 million and comes in at an estimated 12 carats. 

The oval-cut centre stone is flanked by two accent stones, all set on a gold band.

Jay-Z got down on one knee and asked Beyoncé to marry him with a gorgeous emerald-cut diamond ring designed by Lorraine Schwartz. 

The ring features a giant 24-carat diamond and a split-shank pavé band, and is worth around £3.7 million.

Mariah Carey received a huge 35-carat emerald-cut diamond ring from Australian billionaire James Packer in 2016, worth an estimated £7.5 million. 

After their split later that year, the superstar kept the sparkler, and later sold it for just over £1.5 million in an effort to move on from their romance.

"Mariah has been very vocal recently about her choice to move forward in her life surrounded by positivity," her publicist told Page Six. "That requires leaving emotional and material baggage behind, including an old engagement ring from an ex-boyfriend."

Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis proposed to Jackie Kennedy in October 1968 with the legendary Lesotho III diamond from Harry Winston, clocking in at 40 carats with a marquise cut.

Two years after Jackie died in 1994, the bauble sold at a Sotheby's auction for a whopping £1.9 million. 

The ring would be worth a lot more these days, but it was purchased by an anonymous buyer, and its location is currently unknown.

Orlando Bloom bestowed a unique floral-inspired engagement ring upon Katy Perry in 2019 when he proposed on Valentine's Day. 

The Greenwich St. Jewellers design featured a halo setting with a ruby in the centre surrounded by diamonds in the shape of a flower. 

The ring is vintage-inspired and comes with a reported price tag of around £3.7 million.

Back in 2005, when Greek shipping heir Paris Kassidokostas-Latsis got engaged to hotel heiress Paris Hilton, he gifted her a 24-carat canary diamond worth an estimated £3.5 million. 

After they broke up later that year, Paris kindly auctioned off the sparkler and donated the proceeds to Hurricane Katrina victims.

Marc Anthony proposed to Jennifer Lopez in 2004 with a gigantic 8.5-carat radiant-cut blue diamond ring from Harry Winston, which was flanked by baguette accent stones and worth around £3 million. 

The duo went their separate ways in 2011 after seven years of marriage and two kids together.
