When it comes to figuring out her life's path, Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban found it pretty early!
The 18-year-old is the oldest of exes Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's two daughters, the other being 15-year-old Faith Margaret Kidman-Urban.
The key difference between Sunday and Faith
While Faith still leads a private life, occasionally jetting off with her mom for the odd fashion week appearance, Sunday is now a working model, walking the runway for brands like Dior, Miu Miu, Schiaparelli, and many more.
However, when she graduates from high school next year, Sunday hopes to branch away from the world of fashion and into filmmaking, following in her mother's legendary footsteps but from behind-the-scenes.
"Filmmaking, and especially directing, has always fascinated me," the teen told Vogue Germany recently, especially noting that she found it as a way to differentiate herself from her younger sister when they'd visit their mom on her sets as well.
"When my sister or friends were there, they tended to sit around and watch all sorts of other things, while I was always staring at the preview monitor because I was so captivated by the work," she explained.
Sunday's love for filmmaking
Sunday has spoken of her love for filmmakers like Greta Gerwig, Emerald Fennell and Osgood Perkins, even citing her mother's 1995 Golden Globe winner To Die For, directed by Gus Van Sant, as her favorite film.
And when she's not walking the runway, she's either doing her homework or sneaking off to the local movie theater in Nashville. "One of my favorite things to do is watch films on my own. We have a small cinema nearby, and I love going there and watching films I know nothing about beforehand, with absolutely no expectations," she gushed.
Taking stock of her opportunities and advantages
The model spoke of the specific principles her mother had always imbibed in her and her younger sister, especially when it comes to not taking the privilege they've been afforded for granted.
"I'm very aware that I'm being given opportunities that not everyone can have, and I'm truly grateful to be able to take advantage of them," Sunday mused.
"So when I'm at work, I make sure to always give my best, never come to work with a negative attitude, no matter how tired or jet-lagged I may be, and treat everyone with respect."
Sunday's future in fashion and film
As for what worries her about the future? "Quite a bit, especially in my final year of school, there's just a lot of pressure in various areas. I think it's the uncertainty, not knowing where I'll be in 10 years."
"I do have some ideas about where I'd like to be—maybe as a filmmaker in Paris—but you never know. And it worries me not knowing what will happen to my friendships ! After this year, we'll all go our separate ways—that's probably my biggest worry right now."
