Johnny Depp is due to deliver one of the major Christmas movies this year, with the Pirates of the Caribbean star taking on the role of Ebenezer Scrooge in Ebenezer.
Although the film isn't due to be released for a few more weeks, the star channeled his latest character by making a surprise appearance at New York City's Bryant Park Winter Village.
True to the character's miserly nature and disdain for Christmas, Johnny was seen pushing over a Christmas tree and causing other havoc at the promotional event.
The actor looked so different as he donned the character's Victorian garb, walking with a black top hat and matching coat, alongside a cane.
He took on a hunched posture, and while fans might recognise the star's classic jet-black locks, these were transformed into Scrooge's messy silver strands.
Speaking to People ahead of the film's release, Johnny said: "Ebenezer just sort of arrived in a weird way. It’s kind of like the first time you put the wardrobe on, and you feel that, like with any character, that becomes your kind of suit of armour."
This is far from the star's only transformation in recent months, and back in September, the 63-year-old looked worlds away from his usual appearance when he starred in the trailer for Day Drinker, which is due to be released in 2027.
The star was seen playing a mysterious guest aboard a private yacht, with gray, unkempt hair, a scruffy beard and wild eyes while speaking in a thick accent.
What is Ebenezer about?
Johnny's film is the latest adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic ghost story, A Christmas Carol, which was first published in 1843.
The premise for the film reads: "Johnny Depp is the deliciously unpleasant Ebenezer Scrooge in a thrilling reimagining of the most iconic ghost story of all time. On one unforgettable Christmas Eve, Ebenezer collides with his past, present, and future on a supernatural journey that will decide his ultimate fate. If you think you know his story, think again."
The actor will be accompanied by several major stars in the film, which will feature the novella's classic characters, including Jacob Marley, Bob Cratchit and the Ghosts of Christmas.
Joining Johnny in the film are Rupert Grint (Harry Potter), Andrea Riseborough (To Leslie), Tramell Tillman (Severance), Robert Strange (Return to Silent Hill), Daisy Ridley (Star Wars) and Sir Ian McKellen (Lord of the Rings).
Rounding out the cast are Arthur Conti (Beetlejuice Beetlejuice), Sam Claflin (The Hunger Games), Ellie Bamber (The Lady from the Sea), Nicholas Day (Emmerdale), Charlie Murphy (Peaky Blinders) and Henry Lloyd-Hughes (The Inbetweeners).
