The trailer for Johnny Depp's new supernatural revenge thriller, Day Drinker, has finally been unveiled – and the Pirates of the Caribbean star looks almost unrecognisable.
The 63-year-old actor, who plays a mysterious guest aboard a private yacht, is seen with gray, unkempt hair, a scruffy beard and wild eyes while speaking in a thick accent in the new trailer, released ahead of the film's arrival in cinemas in March 2027.
Johnny is famed for his dramatic physical transformations, famously using prosthetics, wigs and make-up to portray characters in Alice in Wonderland, Edward Scissorhands and the upcoming Charles Dickens adaptation, Ebenezer.

What is Day Drinker about?
Directed by Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer, The Amazing Spider-Man), the film follows private yacht bartender Lorna, who encounters a mysterious, onboard guest. The pair soon find themselves embroiled with a criminal figure, Cara Lazaro, and connected in unexpected ways.

He later reveals: "My story, perhaps it's a tale of revenge, or perhaps something worse. What if all this is a ghost story? Or maybe I'm just another day drinker."

Reacting to the eerie trailer on social media, fans shared their anticipation. One person wrote: "I feel like Johnny Depp will give us his best performances over the next two decades," while another added: "Can't stop watching this... Seriously."
