It was a case of all aboard for designer Matthew Williamson and his celebrity fashion followers in the Big Apple this week as he launched his first ever menswear collection with a star-studded nautical-themed party on a luxury yacht in Manhattan.

The Manchester-born talent – who was joined at the bash by Oscar winner Adrien Brody, modelling some of his designs - has taken his first step into the realms of mens' fashion for High Street giant H&M.

The summer line, which includes everything from tie-dye sweaters in purple and pink, a T-shirt with the designer's signature peacock print and the large, crinkled scaves which Matthew loves so much, hits stores worldwide on May 14.

There's also a women's summer collection too - to be released at the same time. Items from the range could be seen on some of the VIP attendees at Wednesday night's party, like the multi-coloured tie-dye dress worn by Canadian-Ukrainian model Daria Werbowy.

Other fashion figures in attendance included models Helena Christensen and Bar Refaeli. Also on hand were style icon twins Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. All were treated to a performance by eccentric American singer Grace Jones, who gave a show-stopping rendition of a selection of her hits.
