Bella and Gigi Hadid are bikini muses in their most incredible beach photos

Gigi taught us all what mermaid hair really is when she shared a snap from her girls' trip in July 2023 – and make-up free, at that. How I wish I looked this good without a swipe of mascara on!

The model sported a pink and brown patterned bikini for the photo as she kneeled on a beach chair draped with a yellow-and-white striped towel (yes, even her towels are chic). 

Gigi’s long blonde hair hung down past her shoulders in beachy waves (the kind that take me an hour and several bottles of sea salt spray to achieve), and she completed the look with a chunky metal necklace. No notes, Gigi.

It seems that Bella is a water whisperer – because who else could look this good with waves crashing over them? No one, that's who (except for maybe Gigi, because those model genes run strong).

The brunette beauty showcased her famously toned abs during a photoshoot for her fragrance line, Orebella, wearing a blue patterned bikini that paired perfectly with her sun-kissed skin. 

Bella lay in the water as her arms stretched above her head, without receiving a mouthful of salt water (truly a skill in itself). Maybe these siren-like sisters really are mermaids…

During a trip to the Cayman Islands in 2019 (how the other half live), Gigi treated her army of Instagram followers to another bikini reveal, this time with an upside-down design in bright yellow that turned more than a few heads.

The sunshine-hued swimsuit matched her golden hair and flattered her shredded abs (seriously, what is her core routine?). Gigi stretched while kneeling on a lounge by the ocean, looking like a walking advert for a tropical getaway. So, who do I have to call to make this happen for me?

And speaking of abs – Bella shared this snap from her sun-soaked getaway in January 2023, after escaping the cold American winter (fair play, honestly). "Happy New Year, my sweets…I pray only the best for you," she wrote in the caption, making us all feel like we'd been personally blessed by a goddess.

In the Instagram photos, she was pictured wearing a white, textured bikini with string bottoms and a halter-neck top as she stood knee-deep in a glistening pool. In one fell swoop, the model made us all reassess our New Year's resolutions, starting with "drink more water" and ending with "be Bella Hadid".

I think we all remember where we were for the iconic moment that was Taylor Swift's Fourth of July party in 2016. Every celebrity you could think of was there – Karlie Kloss, Cara Delevingne, Blake Lively, and even Tom Hiddleston (one of Taylor's best boyfriends in my expert Swiftie opinion).

From the star power to the matching swimsuits, this was the place to be. And then there was Gigi, dressed in the now-legendary coordinating swimsuit, looking like she had just walked off the runway and straight into the ocean at Taylor's doorstep. 

The red, white and blue striped look instantly became iconic and ended up on the Pinterest boards of women across the world. You truly just had to be there.

Bella threw it back to the '00s during her Bahamas holiday in 2023, wearing a brightly patterned string bikini with pink edges, complete with sunglasses and a black headband. The look transported me straight back to my childhood – bedazzled flip phones and all.

She expertly matched her nails to the pink detailing (now that's commitment), and paired the outfit with a snorkel that only she could make look stylish. Is there anything she can't do? I'm starting to think the answer is a firm no.

Gigi kept her pregnancy fiercely under wraps in 2020, before welcoming her daughter Khai in September of that year with her then-boyfriend, Zayn Malik. It certainly came as a surprise, then – and a delight – when she shared insight into that blissful time a year later on social media with a glowing bikini snap.

In the photo, Gigi tilted her head back to the sun as she modelled a gold bikini, with her third-trimester baby bump on full display. If you want to know what pregnancy glow really looks like, then refer back to this picture, folks. Case closed.

Bella swapped the runway for ranch life during a Texas trip in July 2025, where she somehow managed to nail the perfect mix of beach babe and cowgirl chic. An elite combo, if you ask me.

The A-lister shared a photo on Instagram that showed her clad in a white bikini top with red gingham detailing, and high-waisted bikini bottoms with a matching gingham ribbon as a belt. She added a cowboy hat to match the ranch life aesthetic, and even wore her hair in two pigtails – when in Texas, amiright?  

Gigi proved in 2022 that a bikini doesn't have to be the same colour for it to be effortlessly cool, when she shared a mirror selfie showing her dressed in a checkered string bikini with a blue top and pink bottoms. She paired the look with a chunky necklace (very model off-duty) and wore her blonde hair back in a loose plait (Rapunzel, is that you?).

"Some lost summer files…[because] I can't believe this year has gone by so fast & it's getting too cold toooo quick," she wrote in the caption. Too true, Gigi, too true. Meanwhile, here I am clinging to my SPF 50+ and untangling my beach towel. It's all relative!

Never one to miss a sultry sunset shot, Bella sizzled in a black bikini with a front clip while snapping photos with her Orebella fragrance bottle.

She looked like a dream in matching black bikini bottoms and a black sarong, and completed the look with eye-catching, dangly gold earrings and stacked gold chains. Someone call the police – it should be illegal to look this good! But really, who even needs a sunset when Bella brings the golden hour with her?
