It's not often that a belt becomes the most coveted accessory of the year - shoes, yes, bags, definitely, but belts? Not really - though we reckon Moschino came pretty close back in 2013. But, we can't argue with Lyst's recently released quarterly fashion report, which has found Gucci's GG Logo Belt to be the most popular fashion item of this season - because, let's face it: designer logos are everywhere this year. In fact, Gucci's now-iconic accessory has been gaining cult-status since around 2016, when the likes of Rosie Huntington-Whitely, Jennifer Aniston and Kendall Jenner all pledged their loyalty to the waist-cincher.

Now, you can't scroll through most fashion bloggers' Instagram feeds without seeing those golden linking Gs. We can't blame them really, since it's the ultimate chameleon accessory - whether wrapped around a pair of jeans or denim shorts with a tee, or teamed with pretty floral tea dress, that metallic logo never fails to lift an outfit. ASOS even came out with a similar version this year, which sold out instantly.

Designer monikers reign supreme across the rest of Lyst's top ten - with Gucci's Logo Print Swimsuit making it in at number three (thanks no doubt to the popularity of the similarly-stamped Gucci Logo T-Shirt). At number two on the list are the Fila Disruptor Sneakers - in keeping with this season's chunky trainer trend - and fourth place goes to Prada's Nylon Belt Bag.

Other classics on the list include the Chanel Canvas Cap Toe Espadrilles at number seven - always a summer staple - and this year's it-girl frames, the graphic Celine Edge Sunglasses. Interestingly, one of the Duchess of Cambridge's favourite fashion brands, Goat, made the cut amongst a slew of cool-girl designers: with the classic Whitney dress coming in at number nine. This particular style was worn by Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, back in 2016. Interesting!
