Princess Rajwa of Jordan simply oozed luxury on 16 May as she stepped out alongside her husband, Crown Prince Hussein, to attend the Tawasol Forum, which "explores major global transformations and their implications for local priorities and future-oriented development pathways."
The princess, 32, was seen arriving at the event looking a picture of elegance in a pair of black wide-leg trousers styled with a beautiful blouse. The cobalt number was identified by Royal Fashion Police as the 'Juliana' blouse from Joseph. It featured a trendy knot detail at the neck for added detail and was tucked into her trousers to accentuate the waist.
Rajwa's YSL accessories
The true stars of the sartorial show were Rajwa's accessories. She chose two pieces from the French luxury fashion house, Saint Laurent: the brand's £1,950 'Sac de Jour Nano Supple Grained Leather bag in Storm' and the £835 'Vendome 70 Black Leather Slingback Pumps'.
The heels, which were revealed in a video posted to Crown Prince Hussein's Instagram story, featured a chic kitten heel and a pointed toe, as well as a gold buckle detail. Meanwhile, her bag featured bronze-toned hardware, and Rajwa kept the detachable crossbody strap so that she could hang the bag from her shoulder.
A stylish birthday girl
The outing came after mum-of-one Rajwa celebrated a special milestone at the end of April – her 32nd birthday. Appearing in a new portrait released by the Royal Hashemite Court, the daughter-in-law of King Abdullah and Queen Rania posed in a cinched black blazer by Gabriela Hearst, which had been wrapped around her waist and secured with two skinny brown belts.
The outfit was distinctly modern, a far cry from resplendent gowns and tiaras most often associated with princess dressing.
A very modern look
Of the royal's chosen birthday look, Oriona Robb, a luxury stylist with over 20 years of experience in the fashion industry, told us: "The all-black tailoring is clean and incredibly refined, but it's the double belt detail that quietly transforms the look.
"Rather than feeling purely classic, the belt introduces shape and a modern edge, it carves out the waist, adds visual interest, and gives the outfit a more directional, fashion-forward finish without overpowering the simplicity."
Meanwhile, it was a fitted white shirt and brown tailored trousers that Rajwa wore in a photo featuring Queen Rania on her special day. "Wishing the happiest of birthdays to Rajwa! So grateful for the warmth and joy you bring into our lives every day," the Queen captioned the snap.
