The Duchess of Sussex has acclimatised to the sunny Californian weather, filling her wardrobe with heatwave-ready outfits for when the temperature soars.
Summer fashion inspiration, therefore, is never hard to come by – as proven by Meghan's latest clip on her lifestyle brand, As Ever. Following her overseas trip with her family, the 44-year-old continued embracing the warm weather as she picked berries in the garden.
The former Suits actress showed off her green-fingered abilities dressed in a low-key outfit with her hair pulled into a low ponytail underneath a straw hat. "A taste of late summer is almost here. Something sweet is arriving soon," she teased fans.
Meghan tucked a blue button-up shirt into a pair of high-waisted white shorts, with the wide-leg silhouette and pale colour offering respite from the heat.
Reflecting the relaxed setting, Meghan's outfit was more casual than she has previously been seen wearing for formal outings, especially when she was still a working royal.
Meghan's penchant for summer shorts
Shorter hems were considered too daring for royal ladies, who tend to prefer midi dresses or trousers. Meghan has bent this rule on several occasions since moving to Montecito with her husband Prince Harry and two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in 2020.
Bermuda shorts have often served as the perfect compromise between breezy summer dressing and elegant longline silhouettes. Back in 2022, Meghan showed off her elevated wardrobe in a pair of navy Dior shorts for a lunch date with a girlfriend.
The mother-of-two channelled effortless beach babe in a beach photo shared in 2025. She sported a monochromatic linen outfit comprising leg-lengthening mini shorts, an oversized shirt and a pair of tan leather sandals.

In an interview with The New York Times in 2024, she said: "Times where I know there is a global spotlight, and attention will be given to each detail of what I may or may not be wearing, then I support designers that I have really great friendships with, and smaller, up-and-coming brands that haven't gotten the attention that they should be getting."
She added that she enjoys sourcing them herself online. "I spend a lot of time just Googling, looking for brands... When people are online looking for things or reading things, I'm trying to find great new designers, especially in different territories," the royal explained.
