The Duchess of Edinburgh has reigned supreme in the sustainable style stakes this week, recycling one of the hardest-working items in her royal wardrobe for a visit to Capability Scotland.
Turning to trusted brand Penelope Chilvers, Prince Edward's wife opted for the silk blue puff-sleeve blouse, which she often uses as an elevated alternative to a trusty T-shirt. She previously styled the versatile piece with pinstripe trousers at the Royal Windsor Flower Show in June and a denim skirt for The Groundswell Festival in July.
On 14 August, she paired it with a figure-skimming tan pencil skirt and espadrilles, which were also a repeat wear from Penelope Chilvers.
Stepping out just one day after her son, James, Earl of Wessex, announced his university plans, the Duchess met with volunteers and staff to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Scottish charity, which provides care, support, and education for disabled people.
While she kept elements of her look the same, Sophie switched up her beauty look by styling her newly-cut bob in a new way.
Duchess Sophie experimenting with her new hairstyle
Instead of curling the ends in, as the royal has been doing since debuting her shorter hair in July, Sophie secured the top section back with a tiny claw clip in a relaxed half-updo.
Assessing her bouncy bob at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, Elliot Bute, hairstylist at Hershesons Fitzrovia, told HELLO!: "Duchess Sophie's new bob is a beautiful evolution of the polished '90s bob.
"It feels timeless rather than trend-led, with soft internal layers and a gentle side part that creates easy movement and a luxurious finish. It's sophisticated without looking overly styled, which is what makes it feel so modern," he noted.
For those looking to emulate Sophie's look, the hair expert explained: "To recreate the look at home, focus on creating healthy shine and natural volume rather than a perfectly sculpted finish. Apply a lightweight volumising mousse to damp hair, rough dry to around 80 per cent, then use a medium round brush to lift the roots and softly curve the ends under.
"Finish with a styling cream through the mid-lengths and ends for that glossy, understated look."
