The Duchess of Edinburgh looked as resplendent as always at the weekend, when she was spotted at the 2026 Commonwealth Games closing ceremony, alongside her husband, Prince Edward.
The blonde royal chose a deep blue shirt dress, elegantly adorned with leopard print. She accessorised to perfection with smart gold statement earrings as she concentrated on the action at the sporting event.

"It feels timeless rather than trend-led, with soft internal layers and a gentle side part that creates easy movement and a luxurious finish," the hair expert noted. "It's sophisticated without looking overly styled, which is what makes it feel so modern," he noted.
Want to emulate Sophie's new look? It's all about the mousse. "To recreate the look at home, focus on creating healthy shine and natural volume rather than a perfectly sculpted finish. Apply a lightweight volumising mousse to damp hair, rough dry to around 80 per cent, then use a medium round brush to lift the roots and softly curve the ends under," he advised. "Finish with a styling cream through the mid-lengths and ends for that glossy, understated look."

Sophie stepped out at the Groundswell Regenerative Agriculture Festival at Lannock Farm last month, where she showcased her fresh new bob. The style suited her pretty features, and she appeared to have coloured her tresses, too, displaying a visibly lighter blonde hue.
