Duchess Sophie is nothing short of a royal style icon, and her latest look is no exception.
Less than a week after returning from a six-day working visit to Zambia, which was attended by HELLO!'s Senior Reporter, Jack Malvern, the British royal was back carrying out engagements on UK soil.
On Wednesday, Sophie, 61, looked effortlessly glamorous attending a reception on Wednesday to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Royal Mencap Society, hosted by the Financial Times.
The brown and white patterned gown is a creation by royally beloved designer Suzanne London and is called the 'Grandad' Silk Tea Dress in Floral Tiles, retailing at £1,250.
It was a rewear for the Duchess of Edinburgh, who previously wore the same dress last year at the King’s Award for Enterprise ceremony at Windsor Castle.
Sophie has been a patron of Mencap since 2002, taking over the role following the death of Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, who had held the patronage before her.
The royal's look was accentuated by her fabulous bob, which she had cropped earlier this year.
Sophie's surprise bob
Back in July, Sophie had taken around four inches off her mane, with the shorter length finishing above her collarbone.
She debuted the new do at the Groundswell Regenerative Agriculture Festival at Lannock Farm, where she showcased her fresh look, which suited her pretty features, complemented by a fresh, visibly lighter blonde hue.
While Sophie's new do was a significant change from her longer locks, the royal has previously rocked tresses on the shorter side of life.
Why is the bob timeless at any age
Celebrity hairdresser Jason Collier previously told HELLO! Why opting for a bob in your second act can be an absolute game changer.
"At the age of 50 plus, a bob can bring instant freshness as it removes tired, damaged ends, lifts the face, and creates a sense of movement that longer, heavier hair sometimes lacks.
It's also a cut that works brilliantly with natural silver tones, adding shine and definition."
"Bobs rely on sharp lines, so regular trims every 6-8 weeks are key to keeping the shape fresh," he added. "This cut looks stunning with natural greys, but highlights or balayage can add dimension. Shorter lengths allow colour to shine more brightly, giving the hair extra vibrancy," he noted.
