Princess Alexandra of Hanover and Charlotte Casiraghi made a stylish sister appearance at Paris Fashion Week, stepping out in coordinating dark outfits with burgundy accessories.
The daughters of Princess Caroline posed together for photographs, with Charlotte wrapping an arm around her younger sister as they smiled for the cameras.
Alexandra chose a black, long-sleeved knit with an asymmetric folded neckline, tucked into wide-leg charcoal trousers. The understated combination featured subtle textures, with the relaxed tailoring falling over black block heels.
She accessorised with stacked gold bracelets and a small shoulder bag with burgundy panels, while her straight brunette hair fell loosely around her shoulders.
Charlotte's elegant take on tailoring
Charlotte complemented her sister in a charcoal jacket and matching trousers, layered over a simple black top. Her blazer featured flap pockets and a decorative gold button, while a burgundy quilted handbag added colour to the otherwise muted outfit.
Loose waves and a coral-toned lip completed her look. Standing alongside Alexandra, the sisters showed two different approaches to the same pared-back palette, with Charlotte opting for structured tailoring and Alexandra choosing softer knitwear.
Their appearance comes during an exciting period for Alexandra, who recently announced her engagement to longtime partner Ben Sylvester Strautmann.
Alexandra's engagement news
The princess shared the news on Instagram with a collection of photographs and a short caption: "The marriage plot." According to Tatler, her engagement ring was created by Antinori di Sanpietro and features a yellow diamond selected by Ben himself.
The couple, who went public with their relationship in 2017, have regularly attended Monaco's celebrations together, including the Rose Ball. Family and friends were quick to congratulate them, with Beatrice Borromeo and Lady Kitty Spencer among those responding to the announcement.
What Alexandra has said about her family
Alexandra has previously spoken warmly about the reassurance she finds in her older siblings.
"I feel very close to them, and they're some of the most important relationships in my life," she told ELLE España in a 2025 interview.
Alexandra and Charlotte share their mother, Princess Caroline. Charlotte's father was the late Stefano Casiraghi, while Alexandra's father is Prince Ernst August of Hanover. Both are granddaughters of Princess Grace, whose enduring influence on fashion forms part of their family history.
A family wardrobe worth borrowing
Fashion is another interest Alexandra shares with her relatives, and she has admitted to looking closer to home for outfit inspiration. "I take a lot of things from my mother's closet," she told Telva in 2020.
She explained that borrowing from Caroline's wardrobe felt like a more sustainable approach to dressing, while acknowledging that she did not always ask permission first.
Alexandra also credited the women in her family with providing plenty of inspiration, from her mother and sister to her sisters-in-law.
Charlotte's connection to Chanel
Charlotte's relationship with fashion extends beyond her appearances on the front row. A Chanel ambassador, she helped develop the house's Literary Rendezvous, which launched in 2021 and brings together writers and guests to discuss books and women's independence.
Her interest in literature also has a family connection. "I've been lucky enough to grow up in houses that were filled with books," Charlotte told Vogue Singapore.
She described her mother as a keen reader and recalled how Karl Lagerfeld encouraged her studies, introduced her to authors and gave her books, including Virginia Woolf's diaries.
For Charlotte, the literary project offered a way to continue that relationship through conversations about writing, creativity and women's lives.
