Kyle MacLachlan, who became a household name as the enigmatic, cherry pie-loving Special Agent Dale Cooper in David Lynch’s cult series Twin Peaks, is set to wed. He and his girlfriend of two years, Desiree Gruber, plan to tie the knot next April in Desiree’s hometown of Miami.
Kyle, who also starred in Lynch-driven productions Dune and Blue Velvet, met fashion publicist Desiree at a chiropractor’s office two years ago.
The 42-year-old actor, currently starring as Dr Trey MacDougal, the sexually challenged husband of Kristin Davis’ Charlotte in the hit TV series Sex And The City, has a reputation for dating, but never committing to, some of the hottest women in Hollywood.
Past liaisons include Jurassic Park actress Laura Dern, Lara Flynn Boyle of The Practice and supermodel Linda Evangelista, with whom he was involved for four years before popping the question in 1996. The two split two years later, however, without ever walking down the aisle.
