Hollywood darlings Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have found the ultimate way to escape the constant attention of the media – by buying their own island hideaway.
The 83-acre ranch is located on a private island off the coast of Georgia. Its waterfront mansion includes a spectacular stairwell and porch with views out over the sea, a sumptuously decorated dining hall, and spacious wooden kitchen.
Ben and Jen's purchase has also fuelled speculation they may set a date for their wedding soon. Locals say the 10,000-square-foot Hampton Island home, rumoured to have cost $16 million, would be the perfect place to hold a large reception.
A luxurious getaway in the Deep South may not seem like the obvious choice for Bronx-born Jen, but she's shown a growing affection for all things southern in recent times. And Ben is said to have fallen in love with Georgia when he made the film Forces Of Nature there back in 1999.
