Despite having just married Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed that he is not the "love of her life". Speaking in a interview with men's magazine GQ, the actress said her late father was still the number one man in her heart.

"I cried about my dad at the weekend," she revealed. "It comes in waves and sometimes it just kills me. It's the saddest thing in the world." Bruce Paltrow died 15 months ago, but Gwyn still spends a lot of time watching home videos of her dad.

"He was the centre of my life. You know, if I hear a funny joke I still reach for the phone so I can tell him," she said. "The worst thing that could have happened to me has happened – the absolute love of my life has died."

The Oscar-winning actress is looking forward to the birth of her first child, however, and she feels that part of her beloved father will live on. "It's just amazing to know that I'm going to have something that's a quarter my dad."
