Carole Bouquet looked radiant as she stepped out in a tailored blue trouser suit for Chanel's show during Paris Fashion Week.

The French actress, 69, attended the house's spring/summer 2027 presentation, bringing a polished look to the occasion with a fitted blazer, matching trousers and striking monochrome earrings.

Carole's appearance comes 45 years after she starred opposite Roger Moore in For Your Eyes Only, playing the determined Melina Havelock in the 1981 James Bond film.

The actress chose a blue suit with a subtle sheen, featuring structured shoulders and a blazer fastened with a single decorative gold button.

Worn without a visible blouse underneath, the jacket created a plunging neckline, while flap pockets and sharp lapels added definition. Matching trousers fell loosely through the leg, finishing over black shoes.

Carole carried a small rectangular evening bag with gold detailing, adding another metallic accent to the otherwise understated outfit.

Her oversized drop earrings combined black, white and gold elements, with Chanel's interlocking double-C motif visible among the dangling details.

She wore her shoulder-length, light brown hair swept to one side, with the ends flicked out. Soft pink lipstick, rosy cheeks and lightly defined eyes completed her makeup.

One photograph captured Carole laughing as she posed with fellow actress Marion Cotillard, who wore a dark sleeveless top with a chain-trimmed neckline and pale blue trousers.

Her long connection to Chanel

Carole's relationship with Chanel stretches back decades, including her work as the face of its famous No. 5 fragrance.

She starred in a 1986 campaign directed by Ridley Scott, an association the house has continued to reference in its more recent advertising.

In its account of Margot Robbie's No. 5 campaign, Chanel explained that Margot's red outfit paid tribute to a look Carole wore in that earlier film.

Carole also participated in Chanel's Haute Couture Conversations series in 2025, joining filmmaker Sofia Coppola and director Ramata-Toulaye Sy in reflecting on their experiences of the house and its historic address at 31 rue Cambon.

What Carole has said about her career

Although her Bond role introduced her to an international audience, Carole had already made her film debut in Luis Buñuel's That Obscure Object of Desire in 1977.

She later won the César for best actress in 1990 for her performance in Too Beautiful for You.

Reflecting on her career in an interview published by the Festival de Cannes in 2014, Carole spoke about learning to overcome the nerves she experienced as a young performer.

"In this business, it's when you start to have fun that everything becomes marvellous," she said. Asked what she still hoped to accomplish, she made it clear that her curiosity remained: "I am still full of wonder."

Her recent screen and stage work

Fashion has also featured in Carole's acting career. In the 2024 French drama La Maison, she played Diane Rovel, the formidable head of a luxury group attempting to take control of a rival fashion house.

The Apple TV series also starred Lambert Wilson and Amira Casar, exploring the competition and family tensions behind a couture business.

More recently, Carole has appeared on stage in Le Professeur, with performances scheduled across France during 2026.

Adapted from Émilie Frèche's book and directed by Muriel Mayette-Holtz, the solo production examines the events leading up to the murder of French teacher Samuel Paty. Carole voices the different figures involved in the story, continuing a stage career alongside her film and television work.
