Gwyneth Paltrow's daughter has wasted no time following in her mother's footsteps.
Just weeks after graduating from Vanderbilt University, the Goop founder's daughter Apple Martin, who celebrated her 22nd birthday earlier this week, has officially booked her movie debut.
In addition to the budding actress, who she shares with ex-husband Chris Martin, the Oscar winner and the Coldplay frontman are also parents to son Moses Martin, 20.
Apple is joining the star-studded cast of Nancy Meyers' long-awaited movie comeback, tentatively referred to as Paris Paramount, her first film since 2015's The Intern, which starred Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro.
Deadline was first to report news of her casting, along with that of Beverly D'Angelo (National Lampoon's Vacation franchise) and Tony Hale (Veep, Toy Story 5).
Both character and plot details of the Warner Bros. movie have been kept under wraps, though it has been characterized as a semi-autographical for the acclaimed It's Complicated director, who in a 2023 Instagram post said it would be a film about "a group of people making a film and the magic and mystery of what we do."
Already part of the cast are Penélope Cruz, Kieran Culkin — who appeared as a nine-year-old in Nancy and her late ex-husband Charles Shyer 1991 film Father of the Bride — Erin Doherty, Owen Wilson, and Jude Law, who also worked with the filmmaker in The Holiday.
Nancy is directing from her own script and producing the film, slated for a Christmas Day 2027 release date, alongside Ilona Herzberg, with Diana Pokorny and Paula Case executive producing.
Apple, who is repped by CAA, just graduated from Vanderbilt with a degree in Law, History and Society, and during her time in school she also worked on her modeling career, appearing in campaigns for Gap and most recently Chloé.
In honor of her 22nd birthday last week, her mom shared a photo from her Chloé photoshoot, and wrote: "Happy Birthday to my ultimate dream girl @applemartin," adding: "You are the funniest, goofiest, most big hearted, knockout in the [world]. I love you so so so much [heart] mama."
Paris Paramount appears to be filming in Los Angeles, bringing Apple back home after four years away. Gwyneth, in the time leading up to her departure for college and the years since, hasn't shied away from admitting how difficult her kids' leaving the family home has been for her. Moses is a rising junior at Brown University, and moreover Gwyneth's stepson Brody, her husband Brad Falchuk's son, is a freshman at Yale University, while his sister Izzy is now graduating from Cornell University.
In 2022, Gwyneth told People after dropping off Apple: "It was horrible. It was truly horrifying," adding: "I was sick to my stomach, bursting into tears." However, she did confess that seeing her enjoying her time in college and adapting well has made it all worth it. "I see her, but not as much as I'd like. I'd like to see her every day, but I'm so happy for her. She's doing great," she said.
