There's been another double elimination on The Apprentice. Lindsay Booth and Nuran Ahmed were both fired by Lord Sugar after failing to impress in episode three's home fragrance task. For the first time this series, the teams were mixed up – but it was two ladies who stepped into the PM roles; Katie for Team Tenacity, and Roisin for Team Summit.

In the end, Katie led her team to a narrow win, making a profit of £1584.09  against Summit’s £1569.32. Before Roisin had the chance to decide which two candidates to bring back into the boardroom, Lord Sugar wanted to question Lindsay's contribution. "Lindsay, as a swimming instructor, I can tell you, you're drowning at the moment. You really are,” he said. "This place is full of sharks, you've been treading water in my opinion for the last three weeks. Now what have you got to say about this?""I know, I know I haven't been the person I thought I was going to be when I came here," Lindsay replied. "If anything, I've learnt I'm probably best at sticking to what I know best and that’s swimming. I'm sorry to have to say I've not done very well, I'm disappointed in myself. "Her response left Lord Sugar with little choice but to end her Apprentice journey.

"You didn't do any selling, you were walking around aimlessly holding a candle – three weeks have gone by and I think you're taking up someone else's space to be honest with you," he said. "So look Lindsay, I'm sorry to say, it's with regret, you're fired." Roisin then decided to bring back James and Nuran into the boardroom with her – and the latter who was given the boot. "Roisin, the task was a simple, simple task: margin, that's all it was about," Lord Sugar concluded. "As an accountant you let it slip. But Nuran, last week your team won by luck, it clearly demonstrated to me you don't have the project manager’s acumen. "I wish you the best of luck in the future with your other businesses, but, Nuran, you're fired."

Tune in for the next episode of The Apprentice, Wednesday 29th October at 9pm on BBC One.
