Kelly Ripa's husband's unearthed remarks about working with her on Live!

It's not long now until Kelly Ripa and Mark Conseulos are a team on TV as he prepares to become her co-star on Live!.

But his choice to join his wife and replace Ryan Seacrest may have come as a surprise to Kelly, since she previously insisted it was never an option.

 In 2012, the mom-of-three was interviewed by Vanity Fair and asked if she could ever see Mark becoming her permanent co-host. 

She said: "No one would make me happier than Mark, but he values our marriage and he says that he doesn't see how we could stay married and both do that show.

"Ten years later, it's happening! On April 17 the couple - who have been married for almost 30 years - will air on ABC as Live! with Kelly and Mark.

While it's unlikely there will be any scandal between the two of them, Kelly did recently weigh in on some other ABC gossip - the Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes' romance.

During her Thursday appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the host read aloud an emailed question from a WWHL viewer.

Andy asked: "As someone who's about to have your husband join you as co-host, what was your reaction to Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes' relationship on GMA3?"

While Kelly conceded to Andy that the couple made for "compelling" TV, she said that Amy, 50, and T.J., 45, serve as a cautionary tale. Watch her hilarious take in the video above.

"Mark and I have taken a vow of chastity while we'll be working together," Kelly, 52, said. "I know ABC does not like that TV partners bangin' on the side."

As the world now knows, Amy and T.J.'s romance was of the extramarital variety, and it led to the end of both of their marriages (hers to actor Andrew Shue, his to lawyer Marilee Fiebig) as well as their jobs on GMA3.
