ITV have confirmed the hosts fronting the 2023 reboot series of Big Brother and fans are having the same reaction.

On Tuesday morning the channel confirmed that TV star AJ Odudu and Will Best will act as a hosting duo for the main show where they will "preside over weekly evictions and housemate interviews", and will also front the nightly companion programme debating the big topics and events taking place in the Big Brother house.

Fans have been flocking to social media to share their thoughts about the former Strictly Come Dancing contestant taking the reins as new host – and it seems many agree that AJ is a brilliant casting.

One person wrote: "AJ is brilliant. Really hope this reboot works, taking it back to its origins, ditching all the wannabe reality stars." A second tweeted: "AJ is fantastic - absolutely love her. I would have liked @Rylan ideally but I don't know Will yet to be fair." A third said: "I'm so excited!" As a fourth commented: "AJ Odudu's full circle MOMENT!!! Not a more deserving person on television. Absolutely thrilled!! #BBUK."

The new hosts are thrilled themselves with their new role. AJ said in a statement: "I'm so excited to finally be able to say that, yes: I'm hosting Big Brother! I couldn't be happier. Following in the footsteps of some of my favourite broadcasting legends to front such an iconic show is an absolute honour - and to do it alongside my amazing friend Will is the icing on the cake."

Will added: "I grew up with Big Brother so getting a chance to host it with my mate AJ is a dream come true. I can't wait to tell some housemates not to swear."

ITV is yet to confirm when the new series will land on our screens but it has been billed for "later in the year." Paul Mortimer, Director of Reality Commissioning for ITV2 and ITVX, said: "AJ and Will really are our perfect pairing as we prepare to reintroduce Big Brother to the next generation.

"With a genuine chemistry, both of them will bring effortless wit, charm and heaps of character to their roles and we’re delighted to be working with them both again."
